Arrange a travel insurance quote

QBE's travel insurance business was acquired by nib Holdings Limited (nib) on 13 May 2019. We are in the process of updating the Travel Insurance Cover website, and will relaunch shortly with a new range of policies for NZ travellers.

Obtain a quote for QBE Travel Insurance with the 30% online discount available through Travel Insurance Cover.

The discount is available on all policies booked online - including the QBE Leisure International, Frequent Traveller, Budget International, Discover New Zealand, and Executive International policies.

Arrange a quote online

To get a quote, follow the Get a quote link below and select the applicable policy.

• Fill in the fields of the quote form with details of your trip - including trip departure and return dates, the country or region where you will be spending the majority of your trip, and your date of birth
• Click continue to receive a basic quote which shows the premium before and after the 30% discount we offer
• Customise the quote by choosing your major destination from the dropdown menu, selecting your preferred level of excess, and adding any of optional benefits

Save the quote to buy later

If you would like to save your quote, click on the Buy Later button at the bottom of the page. You will be prompted to provide an email address and password, and you will be sent an email with a link so that you are able to return and continue the quote at a later date. The quote will remain active for 14 days.

Continue to buy the policy

If you would like to proceed with the quote you have received, click on the Continue button at the bottom of the page.

• After clicking continue, a summary of the quote will be displayed and you will be able to review and accept the terms and conditions
• Enter traveller details, nominate a password in case you need to extend the policy or make any amendments, and click continue
• Answer whether you have any existing medical conditions (information on existing medical conditions), and the declaration relating to your duty of disclosure
• Pay for the policy over a secure webpage with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Diners

Once payment has been successfully processed, your policy will be in force and a copy of the Certificate of Insurance will be automatically sent to the email address provided. If you do need to make any amendments to the policy, this can be done by clicking though as if to get a quote and logging in as an existing policyholder using your email address and the password you nominated.
